SailorJones Media Announces Development of Multilingual Documentary

Toronto - March 6, 2003 - Barbara Jones, President and Executive Producer SAILORJONES MEDIA announced development of SAILORJONES MEDIA's one-hour multilingual documentary on Canada's Charter of Rights and Freedoms, entitled FUNDAMENTAL FREEDOMS, with OMNI Television.

This one-hour documentary examines the history of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, the struggle surrounding the ratification of the document and the importance of the Charter in today's multicultural society. The program reviews the evolution of the Charter of Rights and each of its guarantees: the fundamental freedoms, democratic rights, mobility rights, legal rights, equality rights, language rights. Interviews with government officials, educators, the legal community and recent immigrants will feature prominently in the program.

The documentary is currently in development as an interactive (iTV) program in English, French, Portuguese, Italian, Polish, Chinese, German. It is expected to begin production in Spring, and is planned to premiere on OMNI Television in Fall 2003.
