In the vein of Ice Road Truckers, FREIGHTERS will be a 13 episode documentary series following the training and ‘rookie' experiences of a small group of graduates from the Great Lakes International Marine Training Centre.

The Centre based at Owen Sound, Ontario's Georgian College features multi-million dollar marine simulators and extensive hands on experience for its students... but the real world on the big seas is different place.

FREIGHTERS follows the rookies from their work terms, to their last student days in Marine Engineering and Navigation, and onto the bridges and into the bowels of the giants of the worlds waterways.
