The Series
ORDINARY GIRLS follows the journey of 31-year old Beth Hamilton and 34-year old Connie Sinclair-Rossitter, each struggling with personal and financial demons while pursuing a shared musical dream. As the acoustic duo BECKON, they're determined to triumph over adversity - as musicians and as single women.
The series follows Beth and Connie as an emerging act in an industry relatively unknown to them. Timid yet tenacious, they support each other on and off stage. No manager, no CD, no label- no worries. They'll muddle through while strengthening their commitment to their music and each other every step of the way. As song writers, real life provides ample inspiration. After over a decade away, Connie has returned to her country roots, near her parents, and is making a home for her son. Heated by only a wood stove, her cozy farmhouse has been the family for 5 generations. But old familiar locations ignite old familiar fears. A city girl, Beth moved to the country to pursue her musical dream. Trained as a music therapist, she's supporting herself as a part time piano teacher and choir leader. Together, these ordinary girls are re-starting their lives while facing some extraordinary personal challenges.
